太平通宝，为北宋太宗太平兴国年间所铸的一种钱币，是为宋代第一种年号钱。太平兴国是北宋君主宋太宗的一个年号，共计近8年。吴越忠懿王钱俶亦用该年号纪年。宋太宗一即位，就改年号为“太平兴国”，表示要成就一番新的事业。对于此次皇位更替中涉及的关键人物，都做了一番安排。太祖的旧部等人都加官晋爵，他们的儿孙也因此获得官位。而一些太祖在世时曾加以处罚或想要处罚的人，太宗都予以赦免。黄经理：19866095289（微信同号）
太平通宝钱面“太平通宝”四字为楷书，对读，“通”字“辶”末笔与“平”字一直均连廓，“太”与“宝”字离穿离廓，字廓深峻、文字端庄；而钱背造象奇特，穿上两柄剑，剑柄挂有璎珞的花剑交叉跨穿的左、右角，根据“天圆地方”学说，居高临下，凸现依天镇妖辟邪之意；穿下为龟蛇相交，先民认为龟蛇配是长寿的象征。奇的是穿右穿左将七星铸成五角星，分右四（一星连廓）、左三（一星连穿）分列；我国古钱上的星多为圆点，而此星为五角形，给断代留下难解之谜。

Taiping Tongbao is a kind of coin coined during the reign of Taiping Xingguo, Emperor Taizong of the Northern Song Dynasty. It is the first kind of year money in the Song Dynasty. Taiping Xingguo is a year name of Emperor Taizong of the Northern Song Dynasty, totaling nearly 8 years. Qian Chu, the king of justice and loyalty of Wuyue, also recorded the year with the same title. As soon as Emperor Taizong ascended the throne, he changed his title to "rejuvenating the country through peace", indicating that he would make a new career. Arrangements have been made for the key figures involved in the change of the throne. The old Ministry of Taizu and others were all promoted, and their children and grandchildren were also granted official positions. Some people who were punished or wanted to be punished by Taizu in his lifetime were pardoned by Taizong.
The four characters of "Taiping Tongbao" on the Qian side of Taiping Tongbao are regular script. In contrast, the last stroke of "Tong" and the word "Ping" are always connected. The characters of "Tai" and "Bao" are separated from each other. The word outline is deep and dignified, and the characters are dignified. However, the back of Qian is like a strange thing, and two swords are put on. The hilt is hung with flower swords with wreaths crossing the left and right corners.
