《Just My Friend And Me》也是Little Critter系列绘本（国内称这套书为小毛孩）中的故事之一，出自美国大师级的绘本作家、插画家梅瑟·迈尔之手。
 这套书自1975年问世至今，销量已突破1.5亿册；入选“纽约时报”畅销书单、“出版者周刊”终身畅销童书。

《Just My Friend And Me》以第一人称讲述了自己和朋友之间发生的事情。除了故事逗趣生动之外，句型也相当简单易懂，不仅可以引发小朋友们的共鸣和认同感，也能从中学习简单的英文单词和句型，还能让孩子领会友谊的含义。

I asked Mom if I could have a friend over,

cause I just don't want to play alone.

First we climb the apple tree.

I could climb higher if I really wanted to.

Then we play in my tree house.

After we finish playing,

When my friend's mom comes to pick him up,
we say good-bye.
